When you choose us, your wedding day includes exclusive use of the estate, with access to the parts of our historic Manor House that form part of your celebration, including the 13th-century Undercroft, private Sitting Room and Bridal Suite. Alongside these, you’ll have the gardens, ceremony spaces and marquee, together with a dedicated team to help bring everything together.

Here’s what is included as part of your wedding at Nettlestead Place:
A calm and private space to prepare.
On the wedding day, the Bridal Suite provides a peaceful and private space within the Manor House for the bride and her bridesmaids to prepare and enjoy those special moments before the ceremony.
With its own bathroom and kitchenette, it offers somewhere to take a breath, share a few laughs and gather together before the celebrations begin.
The Bridal Suite is available as part of the wedding day. Subject to availability, it may also be possible to arrange an overnight stay, booked separately and charged accordingly
The 13th-century Undercroft
For couples looking for a ceremony setting with real character, the 13th-century Undercroft offers something quite extraordinary.
With its vaulted ceiling, medieval stonework and intimate atmosphere, it provides a beautiful and atmospheric setting for exchanging your vows, with seating for up to 120 guests.
It also provides a reassuring alternative should the weather make an outdoor ceremony unsuitable, meaning your plans can continue beautifully whatever the forecast.
Adjacent to the Undercroft is a private Sitting Room, available to the bridal party immediately before the ceremony – a quiet space to gather, compose yourself and enjoy a few moments before walking down the aisle.
The Rose Garden Gazebo
Imagine exchanging your vows beneath a centuries-old lime tree, surrounded by fragrant roses and beautiful gardens.
The Rose Garden Gazebo provides a romantic English garden setting for your ceremony and is licensed for up to 120 seated guests.
And should the weather have other ideas, there is no need to worry. Your ceremony can simply move into the atmospheric 13th-century Undercroft instead.
Ten acres of beautiful gardens
Nettlestead Place is surrounded by ten acres of gardens, with formal and informal planting, hidden pathways, mature trees and sweeping views across the Kent countryside.
The gardens are very much part of the experience of getting married here. They provide the backdrop for your ceremony, drinks reception and photographs, as well as countless opportunities to simply wander, explore and enjoy the setting with your guests.
Because we deliberately host a limited number of weddings each year, our gardeners have the time and opportunity to maintain the grounds to the highest standards throughout the wedding season.
The gardens are, after all, one of the owners’ greatest passions – and it shows.
Flooded with natural light and surrounded by panoramic countryside views, our elegant marquee provides the perfect setting for your wedding breakfast, speeches and evening party.

From your first viewing through to your wedding day, your dedicated wedding consultant will be there to guide and support you, helping with the decisions, timings and practical details that bring everything together.
Our aim is simple: to make the planning feel as enjoyable and calm as the day itself.
Once you’ve chosen Nettlestead Place, you’ll be invited to a complimentary food and wine tasting, giving you the opportunity to sample dishes from your menu, meet the culinary team and discuss any questions or preferences you may have.
From canapés and starters to main courses and desserts, it’s a chance to experience the food for yourself and make your final choices with confidence.
Alongside your food tasting, you’ll have the opportunity to sample a selection of our red, white, rosé and sparkling wines and explore how different wines complement your chosen dishes.
Our qualified wine expert will be on hand to guide you through the options and help you make selections that work beautifully with your wedding breakfast and toast.
You shouldn’t have to arrive at your wedding worrying about whether the tables have been set correctly. Our venue, culinary and beverage teams take care of the essential set-up so everything is ready for you and your guests to arrive.
