There are beautiful wedding venues, historic wedding venues and venues with wonderful gardens. Nettlestead Place brings all three together within a privately owned family home and ten acres of beautiful gardens in the Kent countryside.
Here, your wedding is the only wedding taking place that day. More importantly, we deliberately limit the number of weddings we host each year, allowing us to give each celebration the time, care and attention it deserves.

The Undercroft & Lounge
Within Nettlestead Place is the stunning 13th century Undercroft, characterised by its three medieval pillars and vaulted ceiling. This historic and truly unique location provides a striking setting for such important occasion as Wedding Ceremonies. The Undercroft is licensed to accommodate up to 120 seated guests.
For Outdoor Ceremonies
The Rose Garden Gazebo
To the south of the manor house is the enchanting Rose Garden. In the centre is a characterful 300 year old lime tree under which sits a wooden gazebo which is licensed for Ceremonies up to 120 seated guests.
Receptions In
The Stylish Large Marquee
Our superb wedding marquee is perfectly positioned so as to make the most of the beautiful far reaching views across the River Medway and the sweeping fields beyond. It can accommodate up to 150 day guests and up to 200 guests for the evening wedding reception.
For Readying & Steadying Yourself
The Bridal Suite
If celebrating your Ceremony at Nettlestead Place, then on the first floor of the Manor House is the Bridal Suite. This is approached via a beautiful wooden staircase and down a long corridor. This large room is offered with an adjacent private bathroom and kitchen for your exclusive use.

The Gardens
Nettlestead Place is surrounded by 10 acres of gardens of much beauty, interest and variety. The features of the gardens have been planned to provide specific and beautiful vistas of open countryside beyond and views of the Manor House, Gatehouse and the adjoining St Mary the Virgin Church.
