Nettlestead Place is a stunning venue, the moment my partner, (now husband!) and I arrived we knew it was the place for us. The house itself is a gorgeous historic property which provides access to a large bridal suite which made getting ready on the day really convenient. It also has a unique ‘Undercroft‘ which is a stone vaulted room where you can have your ceremony and is unlike anywhere else I have seen. It helped make our day so special to say our vows there. Alternatively you can have an outdoor ceremony in the beautiful rose garden, where we got to enjoy our photographs, as well as holding our drinks reception in the beautifully curated and colourful grounds, including the lovely wild meadow. As well as the picturesque house and gardens there is a spacious marquee where we had a wonderful wedding breakfast and then danced the night away. Having a separate dance floor area within the marquee was great as there was no need to get out of the way so the room could be cleared and changed over for the evening, everything just flowed seamlessly onwards. The staff were all so helpful throughout the day, and kept everything moving brilliantly, and the catering team and bar staff were really professional and their food and drinks all absolutely excellent. We also had great fun choosing our menu and wines at a tasting day earlier in the year. However none of our day would have been possible without the help of Sharon who is the guiding hand of the company and who was so patient and helpful in letting us visit several times so we could work out flower arrangements and table layout etc Sharon always made the process really clear and was very responsive to any new queries all from the moment of our first visit. Sharon also made sure the day itself was everything we could have wanted, and free of stress as Sharon liaised with all our suppliers and made sure everything arrived where and when it was needed. We can’t thank Sharon and her team enough for their support and the work they put into what was a truly special day. Also a huge thankyou to the owners, Annabel and her husband, not only for sharing their home but for our delicious breakfast the morning after the wedding. We can’t thank you all enough.

We truly enjoyed our absolute dream wedding at Nettlestead Place. As soon as we stepped through to the gardens, we knew 100% that this would be our venue. It’s totally stunning and I’m just so happy we found it and got married in the rose garden. Sharon was our wedding coordinator and she was amazing throughout – always answering my constant little questions (nothing was ever too big or small!) and was essential in helping us make sure the day ran smoothly. It was honestly a perfect day and I just wish I could do it all over again. I would recommend Nettlestead Place to anyone who loves the beautiful English outdoors. I will treasure the memories I have there forever and I really hope to visit on any future open garden days they may hold!

From the moment my now Husband and I stepped foot on the grounds of Nettlestead Place for an initial viewing, we instantly fell in love and it was a huge ‘Yes’………. Sharon our wedding coordinator was perfect from the word go, so very accommodating and responsive, who goes above and beyond in her role……. 6 months on, our guests still highly compliment Nettlestead Place and the food, of which was perfectly produced by EasyDine. We truly had the most beautiful wedding day, the sun was shining and the grounds were immaculate. The design of the marquee too is fantastic! What a phenomenal venue! As soon as we saw it we knew it was the one! The staff are wonderful and the grounds are spectacular. We cannot recommend this venue enough. From the food, to the organising, to the decor. We got married in the Undercroft, a magical, beautiful area of the venue, which is nothing like anything we have seen before. Before moving to the beautiful rose garden and ending our day in the fantastic spacious marquee. Nettlestead place is the perfect venue for a timeless British Garden wedding. We were offered to spend the evening in the bridal suite after the wedding and we cannot thank Annabel and Roy enough for their hospitality. The stay was amazing and the cooked breakfast we highly recommend. Our perfect venue for our perfect say and the only thing that I would change is that I would do it all again and again and again. This venue is absolutely stunning and all we keep hearing from our guests since our big day is how it’s the most beautiful venue they’ve ever been to. It accommodates the entire wedding package to perfection with a great choice of locations for indoor and outdoor ceremonies. In terms of organisation and the staff, they were absolutely superb. Things just went on in the background as they should and it really was a load off our minds. In particular, Sharon (wedding coordinator) who had been at our beck and call from day one was outstanding on the day, such a calming influence. The food was absolutely superb and the portion sizes were on point. The waiting staff were perfectly in sync when it came to dishing out the meals, very cool to see. Big shout out to the cooking team and for making the evening grazing table look like a work of art. Quite simply the perfect day in a perfect venue. You won’t regret choosing Nettlestead Place!

A truly wonderful venue
We were planning our wedding for a little over two years and I can say that Sharon and the team and Nettlestead were amazing in helping us throughout. Everything was customisable to how we wanted it and the responsiveness of ALL our questions was always prompt (even answering the phone when she’s on holiday – sorry and thanks!). I would recommend Nettlestead to everyone – the Undercroft is the most unique ceremony venue anyone could ask for. I’m always tempted to ‘not mention’ it to keep it a secret as it goes with the romantic setting. The catering staff onsite were professional and the food is amazing – well presented and very delicious. The marquee is completely fit for purpose and looks so beautiful with nearly every type of decoration. If we could, we’d do it all again tomorrow!

Where to start, Nettlestead Place is simply magical ! From the moment we pulled into the private drive we knew this was the place for our special day. With stunning gardens, a perfect back drop to the house which inside awaits you a truly special ceremony room that is the under-croft. The marquee reception is perfect, being nestled in the gardens just a floral footpath away from the house. But if that hasn’t sold you, then Sharon and Majestic Events are really the stars of the show. Planning a wedding is stressful and the team make the whole process a dream. Nothing is too much and attention to detail really goes a long way to making the day run as smooth as possible. Leaving you to enjoy your special day entirely .
