A glimpse into how your Wedding Day at Nettlestead Place, one of the most stunning Wedding Venues in Kent, may unfold, could be as follows - You pass under the beautiful 14th century gatehouse and down the yew tree lined drive in your bridal car or horse and carriage, with nervous excitement of what is to come.
If having your ceremony at the venue, you make your way to either the beautiful Rose Garden or stunning 13th Century Undercroft where you will be greeted by the smiling faces of family and friends and best of all……. your partner.
The registrar will conduct the ceremony for you to officially become a married couple.

Ceremony Registration

The official booking of a civil ceremony or partnership is undertaken directly with the Kent County Council Registrar’s Office.
However we will book and process it on your behalf. Nettlestead Place does not make additional charges for holding your ceremony with us but please be aware that a Marriage Licence fee needs paying directly to the registrar’s office.

If celebrating your Ceremony at Nettlestead Place, then on the first floor of the Manor House is the Bridal Suite. This is approached via a beautiful wooden staircase and down a long corridor. This large room is offered with an adjacent private bathroom and kitchen for your exclusive use.

The Undercroft
Within Nettlestead Place is the stunning 13th century Undercroft, characterised by its three medieval pillars and vaulted ceiling. This historic and truly unique location provides a striking setting for such important occasion as wedding ceremonies. The Undercroft is licensed to accommodate up to 120 seated guests.
Outdoor Wedding Ceremonies
The Rose Garden Gazebo
To the south of the manor house is the enchanting Rose Garden. In the center is a characterful 300 year old lime tree under which sits a wooden gazebo which is licensed to accommodate up to 120 seated guests.

Wedding Marquee
Our exclusive wedding marquee, provided and managed by Cavendish Marquees, is positioned so as to make the most of the beautiful far reaching views across the River Medway and the sweeping fields beyond. It can accommodate up to 150 day guests and up to 200 guests for the evening wedding reception.
